Abstract


One of the purpose of mysticism is to edify the soul. It is not possible the maturation of human spiritually without his self being trained. For this purpose, sofi personalities developed self-training methods by dividing the self into seven stages. Considering the importance of this issue, as sometimes autonomous works were written about self stages, sometimes this issue was discussed in a section of any book.
Muhammed b. Hasan es-Semennûdî also deals with the methods of sensual cult road concerned with the issues of self-training in his works in which he gives important information about the rules and conventions of cult. Based on this method, Semennûdî divides self into seven category such as ammara, levv, mulheim, mutmainn, raziyy, marziyy and kamile and gives information in each one of these stages about issues such as self’s course, booze, local, state, vari and military.
