Abstract


Muhammed b. Hasan es-Semennûdî, was born in the city of Semânûd in Egypt. In Ezher, he became affiliated with Muhammed b. Salim el-Hifnî, the khalif of Mustafa Kemaleddin Bekri, and he got the permission of Halvetiyye cult from him.
Tuhfetu’s-Sâlikîn, written by Muhammed b. Hasan es-Semennûdî, is a work in which he collected the information needed by those who want to leech into the path of the people of cult and those who get in favour with the grades of the people of verification. It consists of ten chapters and a conclusion. In this work respectively such issues as pledge and suggestion, remembrance and its manners, modalities of cult, manners of sheikh and follower, issues that led to the expulsion of follower from the cult, service units to help in the cult and their manners, nafs and its grade with the symbols seen in dream and types of dream were dealt with. The concluding part is about some sufistic terms the people of the cult use.
