Sahib al Sadaqa Abu’l-‘Abbas as Sabti and al Madhab al Judi.
Abu’l-‘Abbas as Sabti was born in Sabta. He was Abu Abdillah Muhammad al Fahhar’s pupil at the six years. For more education He went to Marrakesh at the sixteen years old. He stayed in Igilliz mountain near Marrakesh for along fourty year. With the Sultan Mansur’s invitation He finished his solitude and came to Marrakesh in 580/1184. He was mudarris up to his death in 601/1205. His sufis idea was based on the generosity and helping. Ibn Arabi defines him as patron of sadaqa. He accepted to the mercy principle in his ontology idea. He continued ideas of Gazzali and Abdulkadir Gaylani and Abu Yi’zza and Ibn Hirizihim. He interested in Society affairs and provided Society presence. He influenced the wide masses. He earned trust and appreciation of Almohad Authority by his ideas. Finally his system was classified as al madhab al judi. He was Marrakesh’s Saint. He was one of seven saints.
