Özet

Sühreverdiyye tarikatý Ebû Hafs �ihâbüddin Ömer es-Sühreverdî'nin (ö. 632/1234) halifeleri vasýtasýyla Hind Alt Kýtasý'nda da neþv ü nemâ bulmuþtur. Mezkûr coðrafyada Bahâeddin Zekeriyyâ Multânî ile teþkilâtlanan Sühreverdiyye, Delhi Sultanlýðý'nýn (602-932/1206-1526) ilk dönemlerinden itibaren faaliyet göstermeye baþlamýþtýr. Bâbürlüler'in kuruluþu (932/1526) ile sýnýrlandýrýlarak tarikatýn söz konusu bölgedeki teþekkül ve olgunlaþma sürecinin ele alýndýðý çalýþmamýzda silsilede yer alan isimlerin biyografileri, eserleri, tarikatýn seyr ü sülûk usûlleri, âdâb-erkâný, tasavvufî düþünce yapýsý ile siyâsî ve sosyal iliþkileri incelenmiþtir. Bölgesel durumlarýn oluþturduðu yapýsal özelliklerden istifade eden Sühreverdîler, sergiledikleri sûfî aktiviteler ile bölgenin �slâmlaþma sürecine hýz kazandýrmýþ ve çok sayýda Hindu'nun Müslüman olmasýna vesile olmuþtur. Öte yandan Sühreverdiyye mensuplarý ortaya koyduklarý eserler ile Alt Kýta'nýn telif-tercüme geleneðine önemli deðerler katmýþlardýr. Ele aldýðýmýz dönemdeki Sühreverdiyye literatürü, tarikatýn tarihine iliþkin bilgi sunduðu kadar deðiþik yönlerden Hind Alt Kýtasý'nýn VII-IX./XIII-XV. asýrlarýna da ýþýk tutmaktadýr. Çalýþmamýzýn bu anlamda Sühreverdiyye tarikatýnýn yaný sýra ilgili coðrafyanýn tarihine ve tasavvufî hayatýna iliþkin yapýlacak araþtýrmalara katký sunmasý amaçlanmaktadýr.

Abstract

The Suhrawardiyya sufi order gained widespread its origins in the Indian Sub-continent with the caliphs of the Shihab al-Din ʿUmar al-Suhrawardī (d. 632/1234). The Suhrawardiyya sufi order, which was organized with Bahauddin Zakariyya in the aforementioned geography, started to operate from the first periods of the Delhi Sultanate (602-932/1206-1526). In our study, in which the formation and maturation process of the sufi order in the region in question, limited to the establishment of the Mughal State (932/1526), is discussed, the biographies of the names in the lineage, their works, the order's mystical training methods, manners and principles, mystical thought structure, and their political and social relations have been examined. Benefiting from the structural features created by the regional situations, the members of the Suhrawardiyya accelerated the Islamization process of the region with their sufi activities and contributed to the conversion of many Hindus to Islam. On the other hand, with the works produced by the members of Suhrawardiyya, they added important values to the writing-translation tradition of the Indian Sub-continent. The Suhrawardiyya literature in the period we are considering is providing information on the history of the sufi order and also sheds light on the VII-IX./XIII-XV. centuries in different aspects. In this sense, it is aimed that our study will contribute to the researches on the history and mystical life of the relevant geography besides the Suhrawardiyya sufi order.
