The concepts of “fanâ-baqâ†in the word of thought of Ahmad Yasawi and Ahmed Avni Konuk –a comparative analysis-
In this article, the approaches of the 12th century’s leading sûfi figure Hodja Ahmad Yasawî and the nineteenth century’s Ottoman sûfi Ahmed Avni Konuk to the sûfi concepts of “ fanâ †and “ baqâ †have been compared. In this context, Hodja Ahmad Yasawî’s works Divan - ý Hikmat and Fakr - nâme and Konuk’s commentaries on Fusûs ’ul - Hikam and Mathnavî have comparatively been evaluated.
