In the thesis, information about the emergence and development of Sufism in Chechnya, the type of sects, their history, characteristics, the life and mystical views of the leaders are given. The aim of our study is to determine the influence of Sufism on the people of the region, its role in the formation of their religious identity and its place in the freedom struggle that has continued for several centuries. The thesis also includes the views and stories of some Sufis in Dagestan. Because most of the cult lines in Chechnya come from there. In the thesis, visuals are included in order to provide information about the dressing styles, tombs and dhikr rites of the Sufis living in the region. In the thesis, it is pointed out that Sufism in Chechnya is different from other regions and its features are explained. The main ones are: a) As a result of Russia's annihilation of all sheikhs in Chechnya, a new cult tradition without sheikh emerged. b) As a result of long-lasting wars in the region, jihad became a part of Sufism and sometimes formed its basis. The fact that the liberation movement in Chechnya was referred to in Russian literature with the terms "Muridism" and "Zikrizm" revealed the importance of mysticism in it. Some historians of old Russian or Soviet origin tried to present these movements as a purely political activity unrelated to Sufism. During our study, it has been determined that this is not true and that these claims are only an effort to justify the Russian colonial policy in Chechnya. Keywords
